WildCAM Video Resources

WildCAM is developing a series of instructional and helpful videos that can serve to introduce or refresh a concept in camera trapping.

This first video was filmed at Golden Ears Provincial Park with Jamie Clarke and and Isla Francis of the Wildlife Coexistence Lab at UBC. The purpose of this video is to demonstrate an example of what a Reconyx camera trap check in a busy park can include.

Our second resource was developed by WildCAM member and WildCo Master's student Tristen Brush. This animated video offers a brief introduction to the major steps involved in camera trap distance sampling. It is intended for people with a general knowledge of camera trap research but no prior knowledge of distance sampling. Resources for further learning are listed at the end of the video. A transcript of the video is available for download in the link here.
