The Bear-Salmon-Human Project
The Bear-Salmon-Human Project
The Bear-Salmon-Human Project is a community-driven and applied research project on bears in the Heiltsuk, Nuxalk, and Wuikinuxv territories with an interest in maintaining food supply and habitat as well as safeguarding populations and the individuals that comprise them from human-caused harm. In addition to non-invasive hair-snagging for DNA, wildlife cameras have been deployed as a secondary data source and for outreach.
