Off-Leash Domestic Dog Use of Ecologically Sensitive Areas of Metro Vancouver Regional Parks

Camera traps were deployed and used to measure frequency of off-trail incursions by off-leash domestic dogs in sensitive areas within Metro Vancouver Regional Parks. Data were used to inform park management actions. Subsequently, protection fencing was installed and site restoration activities were completed. Although the project focused on domestic dogs, wildlife data was also extracted from the pictures as well.
