Jeevan Rai

Jeevan Rai is a statistical ecologist, wildlife researcher, and conservationist with a deep commitment to conservation. He fosters partnerships and collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, academic institutions, and international organizations. Currently, Jeevan works for a local grassroots conservation non-profit, Nature Conservation and Study Centre (NCSC), in Nepal. He uses camera trap surveys to study wildlife community mostly in the mid-hills of Nepal. His team also empowers community forest user groups with camera trapping training that allows the community forests to monitor their wildlife on their own.
