The Columbia Mountains Insitute of Applied Ecology is hosting a virtual seminar series this fall. The Columbia Region Ecological Discussions include speakers addressing a diversity of topics such as science communication, active ecological management, citizen science, research skills and techniques, and applied ecological research projects. In partnership with CMIAE, WildCAM is co-hosting two of the speakers in this series who are also WildCAM members. Chris Beirne is a postdoc in the WildCo Lab at the University of British Columbia and will lead a workshop titled "Tips and Tricks for the Organization & Analysis of Camera Trap Data" (Oct 8). Jason Fisher, a professor from the University of Victoria will give a presentation on Oct 29 titled "Rocky Mountain Mammal Communities: Camera Trapping Brings the Effects of Development into Focus". Please tune in to this event which will surely be informative for all camera trappers.
